Westerclose Holiday Cottages on Exmoor

Useful Information

Smoking :  is not allowed in any building at Westerclose.

Water :      Westerclose has its own private spring water supply - regularly tested and with surely unbeatable taste !

• Electricity : All holiday cottages have £1 coin meters. For Heather View a flat rate weekly charge of £20 is made (£12 June-Sept) which includes heating/hot water.

Heating & hot water : 

• Pennycombe has oil-fired central heating/hot water for which a charge of £28 per week is made (£16 June -Sept.)

• Bantam, Stable & Nethergate have modern wall-mounted electric convection heaters which give instant heat, with period timers adjustable by you.  Hot water is heated overnight off-peak and is inclusive. 

• All four holiday cottages have modern "Villager" log burners which are easy to control.  Logs are inclusive approximately early October ­ late May.

• Heather View is centrally heated with also a separate fire in the living room.

Linen etc. :

The beds have duvets and all linen except towels is provided.  Allergy free pillows available. Cleaning materials and tea-towels are also included.  There is an excellent drying room for clothes, boots etc.

Livery :    £7.00 per animal per night / £40 per week

We have 3 large "hunter" stables and 3 two-acre paddocks for turnout next to the cottages. Bedding already down (usually straw or shavings) is inclusive. Extra bedding and hay is available at cost by arrangement.

Dogs :   £12 per dog per week

We welcome well-behaved dogs. They must be kept on a lead at all times. Poop-scoops are provided. The cottages and the apartment all have access to the grassy areas at the rear of the cottages and into our quiet lane where you can easily exercise your dog.

Drying Room:

We have a drying room fitted with a tumble dryer and racks for any walking shoesand riding boots which get wet through.

The drying room also has a food freezer which is available to all holiday accommodation.
